Het idee voor Bitchez! bestond al lange tijd in het hoofd van Badmofo. Honderden jaren geleden al, ver voordat weblogging bekend, laat staan populair was. Zélfs al voor de Badmofo avonturen, die in het jaar 2003 hun aanvang hadden, van Badmofo, de code-monkey van Bitchez!. Het idee was om beschouwingen, betogen, toekomstvisi(e's)(oenen) en andere gedachtenspinsels aan de wereld kenbaar te maken.

Om het idee te realiseren was er echter tijd, zin en moeite nodig. Tijd, zin en moeite om de website te ontwerpen en te programmeren. Tijd, zin en moeite om uberhaupt iets met het idee te doen. En tijd om na te denken over de vraag of het wel een zinvolle tijdsbesteding zou zijn. De conclusie was dat er waarschijnlijk niemand behoefte zou hebben aan een website als deze. Maar zoals u weet: gelegenheid maakt de dief. Opeens werd er tijd gevonden eind 2003.

De PHP code, CSS file, de JavaScipt code, site layout en het database design zijn voor 100% verzorgd door Alex Kraskramp evenals het gros van de graphics.

Censuurbeleid

Op Bitchez! kunt u, de bezoeker, reacties geven op geplaatste artikelen. Dat moet u als muziek in de oren klinken, nietwaar? Er wordt u zelfs nog meer muziek door Bitchez! aangeboden: u bent namelijk geheel vrij uw reactie(s) een geheel eigen karakter en vorm te geven! De redactie zal u daarbij bijna nooit een strobreed in de weg leggen.

Dat reacties op een gegeven moment niet meer op een artikel zelf slaan, maar op voorgaande reacties is meestal niet erg. Als het maar geen off-topic panel-discussies worden tussen een select aantal mensen. De redactie zal in dat geval met de fluwelen handschoen er stevig op los modereren.

Ook als er door middel van reacties mensen worden gedist, blijft de redactie apathisch toekijken, mits het niet gemeen of te grof wordt en het bij plagen of een scherpe opmerking (terug) blijft. Dit levert meestal ook weer een stukje humor op (voor de redactie, dat is).

Onterechte afkraak-reacties worden echter wel zonder pardon verwijderd en in de bitbucket van Bitchez! gedeponeerd. Deze is te vinden aan de straatkant van de burelen van de redactie.

Bottom line: de redactie behoudt zich het recht voor, sterker nog, néémt gewoon het recht, om naar eigen inzicht de door hun gehanteerde dubbele moraal en twee maatstaven vorm en inhoud te geven.

Strategische informatie

De website komt het best uit de verf op een ionenkanon annex beeldscherm dat op een minimale resolutie van 1024 bij 768 pixels draait en een 24 bit (of natuurlijk liever 32 bit) kleurenpalet hanteert. De browser waarmee u het meeste kijkplezier weet te behalen is natuurlijk Microsoft Internet Explorer versie 5 of hoger. Maar probeer gerust firefox eens.

Wanneer uw ionenkanon en browser niet aan deze basale en tevens minimale specificaties voldoen zal uw gebruiksgenot dramatisch dalen. Uw garantie vervalt in dat geval.
